I specialize in working with queer young adults and couples, with a particular focus on relationship dynamics and communication. Whether supporting couples and polyamorous relationships in navigating conflict resolution or helping individuals explore identity and manage anxiety, my approach is grounded in fostering connection and understanding. I am passionate about empowering clients to build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Hi, I’m Liz.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me!
I’m a licensed professional counselor with 4 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. I have always enjoyed working with adolescents and families and focused my graduate work in this area. To share a bit of my career thus far, I’ve helped families in the foster care system achieve reunification, counseled individuals through the social and emotional challenges of teenage and young adult years, and worked with couples to increase healthy communication. I’m experienced in working with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, family conflict, and life transitions, as well as those navigating the process of obtaining gender-affirming medical care. My approach is always person-centered and collaborative, incorporating various therapeutic techniques based on the needs of each client.
While I work with families of all backgrounds and identities, the majority of my experience has focused on the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe there is therapeutic value in shared experiences and as a queer-identifying therapist, I'm passionate about helping others in my community.
I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my wife and two rambunctious puppies (please see adorable picture below). I spend most of my time at the dog park, watching psychological thrillers on Netflix, or catching up with friends. I also have a deep love for cooking and my personal favorite form of therapy is making a meal from scratch with the freshest ingredients I can find.
I look forward to meeting you!
